Gambler® Cigarette Machine FAQ's

Which size cigarettes does the Gambler® cigarette machine make?

The Gambler cigarette machine makes King size cigarettes.

How do I use the Gambler cigarette machine?

  1. Make sure the crank handle (GP010) is pulled fully to the left. Click to lock into position and slide a King size filter tube onto the nozzle.
  2. Fill the corners with tobacco first, then deposit the rest of the tobacco evenly in the tobacco chamber.
  3. Hold the machine firmly with the grip handle in one hand. Pull the crank handle slowly and evenly until it stops. Remove the cigarette from the nozzle.

How do I clean the Gambler cigarette machine?

The cigarette machine should be cleaned frequently to keep it in proper working order.

    1. Rotate the crank handle (GP010) several times without any tobacco in the machine to remove excess tobacco from the tobacco chamber. With the crank handle in the open position, take a cotton swab with warm water to clean the injector (GP018), tamper (GP003), and tobacco chamber and nozzle (GP017).
    2. Turn the machine over, remove the base screws (GP012), and take the base off. Blow tobacco residue from the bottom of the machine using a can of air, vacuum, air compressor, or dry brush.

How do I fix a jam?

Prevent jamming the device by avoiding tobaccos that are overly moist such as pipe tobacco, overly dry, and/or very fine cut. If your tobacco is not an issue, there could be a few other reasons your machine is jamming.

Tobacco troubleshooting:

    • Too moist: if the tobacco is too wet, you can dry it by letting it sit out for a short period of time. Set out only as much as you plan to use in one sitting for 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time. Any time beyond that may cause your tobacco to become too dry.
    • Too dry: if the tobacco is too dry, take a wedge of apple, orange peel, a piece of bread or a damp paper towel and put it in with the tobacco to moisten it.
    • Too fine: if your tobacco is too fine, buy another bag and mix the two together. Be sure to mix your tobacco before each use to keep all of the fine tobacco from falling to the bottom.

Other troubleshooting:

If the injector (GP018) is bent or narrowed, it will need to be replaced. Please contact our Service Center or place an order here.

My machine is releasing filter tubes early. How do I adjust?

There is no adjustment for this machine releasing tubes early. This could be due to a few issues: the tube clamp spring (GP004) might be broken, the tamper (GP003) might be out of alignment, or the injector (GP018) may be bent. Bent or broken parts will need to be replaced. If the tamper is out of alignment remove it from its housing unit, clean the tamper and housing unit, and put it back together. The tamper will realign itself.

My tubes are not getting filled all the way to the filter. How do I fix this?

There could be several different reasons this is happening.

    • Your cigarette machine might need to be cleaned to remove all tobacco residue. (See Cleaning Machine)
    • You are using a tobacco that is not compatible ie. pipe tobacco or tobacco that is overly moist, dry or fine. (See Jamming Machine)
    • The injector (GP018) could be bent or narrowed and need to be replaced. Please contact our Service Center or place an order here.

I can’t get my tubes on the nozzle. How do I fix this?

  • The nozzle (GP017) could be broken. If this is the case, it will need to replaced.
  • The tubes could be crushed or made incorrectly.
  • The tube clamp (GP005) could be in the wrong position to let the tubes on. Make sure your crank handle (GP010) is pulled fully to the left. You will hear a click when it is in the proper position.

Is the white plate in the middle of the machine available to order?

The plate is part of the base of the machine and is not available as a separate part.
